When going home is not a holiday
Many have asked, "So when are you leaving for your holiday?"
*
Some said, "You're so lucky, you already get three weeks off to go home for holiday!!!"
*
Some said, "Aren't you glad to be going home!!"
*
Let's get the scenario right. I am going home for visa application purpose. If it could be done in the UK, I would. Secondly, I see it as going home to run some errands. Not holiday. Yes, holiday can be part of it, but I just don't see how lucky I am when it is an unpaid time off, and having to fork out at least £1,300 for my air ticket and visa (especially when I'm not ready to spend that kind of money). For £1,300 I could have done a lot of other things.
*
Of course I am glad to be seeing my parents and extended family again.
*
I am down with the cold and sore throat. Not fun. 2.5 more days to boarding the plane and if I don't get better by Friday, I will suffer terribly on the plane. Especially with my sinus and now the cold and sore throat.
*
If I get stop at custom in KL, they'd be thinking I'm about to open a confectionery shop.
*
Sometimes I ask myself.. How did I end up where I am today... and why... Can you tell me?
